Mobile Urgent Care Unit: The Range is here!

The Community Clinic Mobile Urgent Care Unit is here! In partnership with the Range from Spokane, Kadlec Regional Medical Center and Labcorp, and in affiliation with the Washington State University Nursing Program, regular medical care is available at the SVDP Food Bank & Community Services. The unit, which operates under the non-profit network The Range Health provides primary care, urgent care and preventative screenings while also training WSU medical students. This builds on the long-time partnership SVDP has with Kadlec and their presence at the site with Community Health Workers and providing flu vaccination clinics.

What this means is that now many clients who can’t afford to get quality emergent care at a clinic in town will now have access two times a month, the first and third Wednesdays. The physician on staff and his team provide services in a private mobile unit on the South side of the SVDP Facility. Medical staff work with patients who check in after transforming the St. Vincent’s Conference Room into a small medical practice every other week. June 7th was the first day of service, opening with a ‘soft start.’  Neighbors in need can email Melissa Bocardo at: melissa.bocardo@rangecommunityclinic.org to schedule an appointment or just show up on first and third Wednesdays between 11 and 4.
