Young Vincentians
A partnership between St. Patrick’s Catholic School, youth from the 6th, 7th and 8th grade learned the meaning of helping those most in need after spending time at SVDP on Wednesdays in rotation all year long. Homeless bags were assembled, young children and babies accompanying their parents for the No Cost Boutique were read to, donations were sorted, and youngsters handed out food alongside seasoned Vincentian volunteers. “It took a huge commitment on the part of the Principal Arlene Jones, the engaging teachers who led the effort and the students themselves,” said Maureen McGrath, SVDP President, “ and we hope the seeds of philanthropy planted today will last a lifetime for these young people.”
