In March, the volunteers at our St. Vincent de Paul food bank served 2,740 families.

That is an average of 685 families each week.  As agricultural activity increases in the area, we are seeing more farm workers in need of assistance as they wait for their first paychecks.

Clothing and househhold goods valued at more than $15,000 were washed, repaired, and distributed to 590 families by our volunteers.

Assistance was also provided for the homeless and for those in need of emergency transportation, utilities, lodging, or those with medical needs.

Our volunteers donated 1,145 hours in March.  If you would like to join them, please call 544-9315 or stop by and visit with us at the food bank at 115 Lewis Street on Wednesdays between 11 and 4.
