Thanks to our wonderful volunteers and the generous parisheners of Pasco's St. Pat's Parish, we were able to help many, many people in December.

This is all the more amazing because the food bank was only open for three Wednesdays in December.  We are always closed on the Wednesday between Christmas and New Year's Day.

We received a little more than $3700 from the second-Sunday church collection in December.  This allowed us to help with emergency transportation and lodging as well as utilities assistance and food purchases.

The food bank served 2,097 families.  That included 249 new families.  These new families included 498 children, 403 adults, and 23 seniors.  The food that was distributed was valued at almost a quarter of a million dollars.

In addition to all this, clothing and household items valued at over $30,000 were washed, repaired, and distributed by our volunteers.  Thses included hats, gloves, scarves, and coats, along with toys and decorative items.

A special thank you to the Tex-Mex store for the Christmas candy they donated.  This gift brought forth many smiles from both children and parents.

As always, we thank our Heavenly Father for the opportunity to provide this service for others.  And we thank all of our volunteers.  You are welcome to join us at the food bank.  Call 544-9315 to offer your help.  We look forward to hearing from you.
